Disability Abuse Response Teams or D.A.R.T.

  • What is D.A.R.T.?
    • The Disablity Abuse Response Team is a team that consists of community members.  The team is made up of disability abuse services agencies, victim service agencies, Adult Protective Services, Direct Service Providers, Police, and Hospital Staff. It also can include people with disabilities and their family members. In many communities, D.A.R.T. teams meet monthly.
    • The Disability Abuse Response Team is sponsored by funding from the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority in partnership with the University of Alaska, Center for Human Development to address the needs of Trust beneficiaries who are victims of crime.
