Identifying Risks of Vulnerable Adults 

The preceding topic area described aspects of life that can impact a vulnerable adult's life, such as having a disability, physical or psychological changes due to aging or culture. Individually, there are other facets of vulnerable adults that could be considered risk factors, which further impact the lives of vulnerable adults. For this topic, the objectives are to:

  • Identify risk factors for the following disabilities:
    • Developmental
    • Physical, including vision and hearing difficulties
    • Cognitive
    • Mental Illness
    • Age-related
  • Define "Vulnerable Adult" and evaluate the many variables of what constitutes someone being vulnerable.
  • Assess for risk factors
