For this activity you will pick a “type” of disability in the first column (developmental, physical, cognitive, mental illness, or aging related). You only need to pick one.

In the second column are risk factors. Look at the second page of the handout. Go through the list of risk factors and choose those that apply to the type of disability you have chosen. With these risk factors, what type of abuse could this person be at risk for? What safety strategies would you take and what agency referral would you make? Work through one column at a time, and only choose one disability.
