Who should you call? As a point of review if there is an emergency, call local law enforcement then call APS. Adult Protective Services in the State of Alaska is the centralized intake for reporting vulnerable adult abuse. Your duty to report is met if you call APS or the Long Term Care Ombudsman.

So, as you can see although we will not be talking about reporting directly to the Long Term Care Ombudsman this is where you could report allegations of abuse that may occur for someone who is 60 years of age or older and who resides in an assisted living or skilled nursing home.
