Statutory guideline: AS 47.24.010 (e)
"If the person making a report under this section believes that immediate action is necessary to protect the vulnerable adult…the reporting person may make the report to a police officer or a village public safety officer."
As a mandatory reporter we ask that you also provide a report to Adult Protective Services too. This ensures that all parties who need to know about the allegations will have them at about the same time. APS is not a 24-hour emergency service.
