Prevention

Creating an environment/support system to keep abuse or neglect from happening. This includes reducing risk factors surrounding an agency, caregiver, or vulnerable adult.

Now that we know who is to intervene and prevent, let’s define it here. Intervention is taking action to stop abuse from recurring. On the other hand, prevention is creating an environment/support system to keep abuse or neglect from happening.
