Finally, in this third wheel, you can see how the pattern of violence, often generational, gets carried out through the lifespan.
One of the differences here involves “ridiculing values/spirituality/beliefs” which includes denying access to church, and ignoring or making fun of values and beliefs.
What is most important to take away from this discussion is that domestic violence and abuse of a vulnerable adult are the same. Abuse of a vulnerable adult will often look more like domestic violence whether the perpetrator is a family member or not.
