For Norman

Some options might include caseworkers or shelter staff having repeated contact with him to reinforce what his choices are and to check his safety. Other options could be to introduce service options and/or conduct visits at the home. In Alaska options would include mandatory domestic violence charges against Norman's adult children.

For Pat

Some options could be to have repeated contact with Pat wherever she was staying. Visits would reinforce for Pat what her choices are, ensure her safety, and remind her what services were available whether it was through a domestic violence program or senior services provider. Pat could have been offered housing in an assisted living facility for a temporary period of time. Today an option could include domestic violence charges that Pat would not be able to withdraw.
